Makeup Art Cosmetics or Mac Cosmetics Wholesale

More than any other brand, MAC has it all going on. When you walk into a MAC store or the department store area of Mac Cosmetics, you have hip music, makeup artists dressed in black, often with lively makeup and piercings. It’s a fun brand, in part because of the constant new release of limited edition collections that come out seasonally or for special occasions. Many of these collections come and go quickly, so they become nearly collectible. Some of the better known collections have featured Hello Kitty, Venemous Villains (from Disney characters), and SuperHeroines.

MAC was founded by Frank Angelo and Frank Toskan (a makeup artist), in 1985. Early and eyebrow raising representatives of the line were Ru Paul (a tall transsexual) and K. D. Lang (a butch lesbian singer. )

MAC’s only advertisements are for the Viva Glam lipsticks, and all proceeds raises from sales of those lipsticks go to an AIDS foundation run by MAC and founded in 1994.

MAC makeup was designed to look good in front of the camera. Mac Blushfoundation comes in a wide range of color designed to suit anyone’s skin tone. And these are two of the reasons why the brand became so well known. Women of every color can find an exact match to their skin tone in powders, foundations, and the huge collection of lipsticks and eyeshadows will suit every woman’s tastes.

A controlling interest of MAC was sold to Estee Lauder in 1994. As such, it is one of the several premiere brands that is an Estee Lauder company. Other brands include Origins, Clinique, and Bobbi Brown.

Aside from having hip, innovative makeup, Mac Eyeshadow is also known for being a socially responsible company. They never do animal testing and they won’t do business with suppliers who do animal testing either.

MAC has raised more than $6 million for AIDS victims, including children and is active in supplying meals on wheels to people living with AIDS.

MAC also has a recycling program. For some reason, the MAC makeup artists don’t seem to mention it too often. But if you save up 6 Mac brushes containers and return them to a store, you get a free lipstick or eyeshadow when you bring them in. It’s a great way they give back and encourage people to do the right thing.
